Carolyn L. Robinson has spent the past three decades honing her skills as a performing artist. From writing to acting to producing and directing local performances as well as being a very talented spoken word artist, Ms. Robinson continues to encourage and help keep the arts alive in the community. Her vision for ATD started in 2005 when she set out to have a summer drama camp in her area. That realized goal led her to develop a curriculum that she now uses to teach on a contractual basis in churches, schools, community organizations and other social groups in an effort to show others how to develop and use their amazing talents to inspire others.
Carolyn completed a dual B.A. in both Criminology and Human Services from the Notre Dame of Maryland University and completed a minor in Forensic Psychology, all with a focus on women and childrens' studies. She uses all of her knowledge and creative talents to serve her community in a variety of impactful ways. She also serves on the board of The AngelWing Project, a community arts-based program in Anne Arundel County. She initiated a program with the Y daycare centers of Anne Arundel County to start developing interests in the arts with children as young as three years old.
ATD offers both adult and children's classes or workshops in basic theater arts, creative writing, puppetry, beginning sign language, dance and arts and crafts. Classes will be custom designed to fit your particular group. All classes will be age and material appropriate. We work hard to be a budget - friendly business.
